Fulfillment Technician

Ingram Express Services is a display graphics and distribution company serving a variety of markets. The Fulfillment Technician is responsible for providing manual and automatic production processes per the work order. The position involves handling, lifting, cutting, mounting/trimming large graphic signage, shrink wrapping, taping, kit fulfillment, and preparation of packages for shipping to various locations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build product subassemblies or final assemblies
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for acquiring final QC approval before running the job against the work order
  • Build packaging for finished products and package finished products
  • Provide production and progress reports to managers
  • Startup and shut down processing equipment
  • Clean production equipment and work areas
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
  • Maintain a willingness to learn new industry processes as they develop
  • Cross-train in all areas of the Production and Graphics Departments designated by your manager
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity
  • Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste incorrectly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Production Manager
  • Follow specific fabrication instructions as indicated by Work Order, Customer, or Manager. Read and calculate information from provided scaled drawings to finished product
  • Provide quality control at all steps in the process
  • Prepare final product for shipping to multiple locations
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork in accordance with defined operational procedures

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Communication Skills: must be able to read a work order, convert fractions to decimals to metric as needed and review production needs with co-workers
  • Communicates with internal employees regarding requirements (materials, work location, labels, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members to reach production goals
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to Managers and peers on efficient print set-ups for production purposes
  • Ability to articulate superior/alternative production methodologies to internal customers
  • Ability to stand in a single location for 8-10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift anywhere from 5 to 50 pounds material substrates as required per work order
  • Flexibility with work hours (must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate)
  • Ability to work in a loud shop environment with multiple machines in operation at the same time
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Ability to operate high-speed equipment at designated production run speeds
  • Ability to operate computer programs for tracking of workflow in production

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Years of experience 3-5
  • Must have reliable transportation
