I was given a challenge of creating a background for a Mayoral Debate in Nashville. The background on the stage was white, and that is not good for TV cameras. I needed something to cover up the white wall but didn’t want to use the normal pipe and drape.

After discussing with my art department, we decided to do foam core panels. The only problem was that they had to be 10 feet tall. Then on-site I would have to connect them, which would have been very challenging. When I spoke with Tim Ragan about what I was up against, he told me that they could do banners 10 feet tall. Problem solved!

I have sent in some screenshots from before the show, and a couple from the show.
